February was a short but good month. I followed my new workout schedule and even switched it up mid-month to do a week of kettlebell workouts. Nothing makes you feel more like a Russian circus strongman than a kettlebell workout. Unfortunately, right at the end of the month my right wrist became very sore, so I have not been able to lift. I have been working on cardio instead.
I took a day trip to Nashville, and it was a blast. I think of Nashville as being so far away, but it is only about 30 minutes. I visited the Johnny Cash Museum, Third Man Records, Ernest Tubb’s Record Shop, Grimey’s, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe’s. I wanted to eat at The Wild Cow, but I was very hungry and it was too far away. Another time. I also made it over to Nashville for a performance of “The Rite of Spring” by the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. This is one of my favorite pieces of music, and the performance was amazing.
For March my goals are to improve my cardio and diet. I plan on adding a HIIT session in the mornings and do cardio in the evening. Even after my wrist heals, I will continue to do cardio before and after my weight sessions. I want to explore outdoors, so I will take a long walk on a nearby trail. Finally, I have a big, exciting project in the works. I do not want to tell too much right now, but it has many parts and is both a personal and professional project.
